Liminal Horror - Ex Inferis

7 YEARS AGO:

Deep water survey ship Ex Inferis sets off on a mission to collect samples from the deepest, most remote parts of the lake. The ship never returns to port. Rumors of a demonic ship crewed by Eyeless ghosts begin to spread across the region.
Now:
You and your crew have been searching for the Ex Inferis. Late one night you pick up a distress signal. It’s distorted, mostly unintelligible, vaguely resembling screaming and howling human voices. One phrase cuts through: “Liberate me.”

Ex Inferis is a Liminal Horror Twisted Classic that reimagines the cult sci-fi movie Event Horizon (1997) as a modern-day nautical nightmare. This new and expanded edition of the Liminal Horror “Twisted Classics Jam”-winning adventure follows a team of Investigators as they explore a derelict ship filled with nightmarish creations from the depths of EVIL itself. Whatever they do, whatever they find, one thing is for certain: the Ex Inferis must not make it back to shore.

All aboard for:
● A fully-detailed ship to explore, with four floors, twenty locations, and a labyrinth of crawlways, holds, and ballasts linking them together.
● Boatcrawl procedures for navigating a living environment that seeks to separate and isolate the Investigators.
● Tables of unique clues, setbacks, visions, and resonant artifacts to keep tensions high and safety scarce.
● The Eyeless Crew, a legion of self-mutilating sailors whose very flesh is a vector for the Evil that lurks within the ship.
● Complete rules for running the adventure as either a one-shot or the start of a longer campaign.
● And more!
